Africa Abong Linux

The group has been meeting and the following projects have been agreed upon to begin with:

a) The two rooms offered by Mami Ubuntu is going to be renovated with paint (white washed) members have to contribute.

b) Materials from the book titled Practical Guide to Ubuntu will be printed gradually, chapter by chapter for members to discuss and study. Introduction to Free and Open Source Software was done by Tefoit Simon and Chi David to start teaching lessons on the 14 of February 2010.

Ubuntu version 9.04 CDs have been distributed to members and also to some students in the following institutions Bamenda University of Science and Technology (BUST), Flexcom Computer Institute, and Alpha Institute of Technology in Bamenda.

Bamenda University of Science and Technology (BUST) has a Linux Users Group and the members are active.

Flexcom Computer Institute and Alpha Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bamenda have plans to create Linux Users Groups.
