LINUX USER GROUP BAMENDA

REPORT OF MEETING 27TH
The meeting started on Saturday at 2.56pm with a word of prayer by Sayah Frida, followed by self introduction. The report of last meeting was read and adopted. The issue concerning students of Linux and Ocoso was raised.


The proper organisation of classes was emphasized and it was agreed that we should start with basics things and also monitor the computer level of students. Two student came from Bamenda University of Science and Technology BUST who are leaders of the Linux Group in BUST newly created.


It was agreed that another meeting be schedule on Monday the 10th to put a coodinating team for the group since some key members of the group were not present on Saturday. The meeting on Monday 10th of December took place and the parcel from DHL was collected. After opening the parcel with Miss Chanceline, Mr Chi David, Mr Tefoit Simon and Mr Kamga Augustine it was found that instead of 16 cell phones that was expected we had 12, there were 25 Flash Disk, a touch and a small calculator in the parcel.


Some members of the group took phones and flashdisk to sell and part of the money will go to them, another part to the group and the rest paid to Mrs Sayah Frida. Members questioned the prices allocated for these items but however it was concluded that a market survey will be made to know how they were sold in the market. The list of members who colleted items was established and file with copies distributed to coordinating team members.


It was agreed that payment for those teaching in BUST the income will be shared in this order 10% to the person who brought the contract, 50% to the lecturer and 40% to the group. It was unanimously accepted that this is how any service related activity will be treated.


A coordinating team for Linux Users Group Bamenda was put in place and members of this team were asked to prepare a plan of action on how they want the group to operate,


The meeting ended with a closing prayer by Mr Chi David and the singing of the Ubuntu Solidarity Song.
