LINUX USERS GROUP BAMENDA
REPORT OF MEETING ON THE 27TH OF OCTOBER 2007
The meeting started with an opening prayer by Mr Nkainmbi Eric, followed by singing of the UBUNTU SOLIDARITY SONG. There was self introduction followed by the reading of report of last meeting. The report of the activities within the week was presented. It was a positive report because all the teachers show up , Members were called upon to make more publicity about the group and its activities.
A radio announcement was recommended to be made besides individual personal contacts for the training courses going on at the centre and Mr Chi was assigned to draft the radio announcement.
It was accepted that when Mr Michel will indicate when he will be coming some members of the group will go to Douala and receive him.
Mr Tefoit Simon gave his day and time of teaching to be Thursdays from 9.00 to 11.00am he accepted to teach HTML and other operating systems.
Some live CD's EDUBUNTU addons were distributed to members present and the CD's for the Software Freedom Day where presented for editing. New members present were : Mr Pascal Mbah, Mr. Ntirenganya and Mr Ndosak George a webmaster who just return from South Africa to study website designing.
It was accepted that all members should take the second week activities more serious by coming to learn or teach.
The meeting ended at 3:15pm with the singing of the UBUNTU SOLIDARITY SONG. There was a very brief lesson on HTML. Mr Michel called from Switzerland and talked with some members of the group.
