LINUX USERS GROUP BAMENDA

REPORT OF MEETING ON THE 21TH OF OCTOBER 2007

The meeting started with an opening prayer by Mr. Chi David at 2.00pm. It was followed by self introduction. The report of last meeting was read and adopted. On matters arising from the minutes, Chanceline gave a report of her trip to Yaounde.


The following projects were recommended for implementation.



It was accepted that the LUG Bamenda will function under OCOSO which is a legal and registered NGO for the mean time. It was also concluded that new members from January 2008 will pay membership fee to be determine later.

It was unanimously accepted to launch training to members and the public It was accepted that each member of the group will bring 05 students or new members before January 2008. Radio announcements and personal contacts was accepted as the means for publicity for the group. Some handouts and posters were to be produced for publicity of the training course.

The following member accepted to offer classes on the following days/time to members and the public during the week:
    Mr John Paul Receptionist from 8.00am to 4.00pm Mr Chi David Tuesday 4.00pm to 6.00pm and Friday 4.00pm to 6.00pm Miss Chanceline Wednesdays 4.00pm to 6.00pm Mr Maurice Monday 8.00am to 6.00pm Mr Ngwainmbi Eric Tuesdays and Thursdays 5.00pm to 8.00pm Mr Kamga Augustin Thursdays 4.00pm to 6.00pm Mr Tefoit Simon Still to confirm his time and day.
    A timetable was accepted to be drawn and the above were adviced to respect it strickly. The meeting ended with singing of the Ubuntu Solidarity Song and closing prayer by Sayah Frida.
