LINUX USER GROUP (LUG) BAMENDA, NWP CAMEROON
MEETING 18
Two Members came in at 10am
and there was cleaning of the environment of OCOSO. Followed by
installation of Edubuntu on Mr Tifang's computer, opening Prayers and
reading of the minutes of last meeting.
On matters arising
from the report of last meeting, the following issues were
discussed:-
Death of Mr Maurice Father, it was agreed that 3000frs will be taken from the account of the group and members will donate what everything they have to add to this amount. It was agreed that the group would visit him next Saturday 13th of October 2007 at 2pm.
The group agreed to carry out extensive advertisement on the Radio and Television in order to create awareness which will in turn act as a means to generate income.
We agreed to maintained contact with Priscilla Nkweti who will be base in Buea as one of the resource persons since she studied Computer Engineering.
The issue of the organization of the group to be more discipline was emphasized.
We agreed that the group should run it activities on daily basis from Mondays to Fridays and it was agreed that Saturday should only be for evaluation, a volunteer secretary is urgently needed and members were asked to make suggestions how to fill the gap.
We agreed that the HTML COURSE should continued and members were encourage to also enroll in the E-LEARNING COURSE proposed by Mr Michel.
We also agreed that there would be more awareness lessons on Linux and FOSS, to strengthen members in the group.
Chanceline showed the members how to develop minutes of our meetings using html.
